Android 8.0 Oreo Update is Coming to Samsung Phones in Early 2018

If your a Samsung fan this is bad news for you, Google announced Android 8.0 Oreo last August and we see some manufacturers updating their smartphones, most recently the Xperia XZ Premium gets Android 8.0, And few other devices have received the Oreo update even two months after its release. But some manufacturers like Samsung, HTC, OnePlus, Motorola, HMD Global and others have stated that they are working on the Android Oreo update, and in some cases released the list of devices which will receive the update.

Now Samsung have stated from an official Samsung news portal in turkey that it will release the Android 8.0 early 2018. A bit late for a major manufacturer to leave its fans waiting.

But we should see the Galaxy S8 and Note8 lineup to get this update first, Samsung releases different smartphones every year, and it is unknown whether the manufacturer plans to release the Oreo update for its budget and mid-range phones such as the J series, A series, C series,But Samsung flagship phones from 2016 such as the Galaxy S7 is expected to be updated.

This upcoming update should bring the Android Oreo features to Samsung phones which include restrictions on background apps, picture-in-picture (PiP) mode, new emojis, notification channels, and predictive text selection.
