Google Android 8.0 Oreo has been out there for a few months, but some Samsung phones are stock with Nougat. Well, the Android 8.0 beta for the Galaxy S8 is now rolling. It's just getting underway today, in fact. You might be able to join if you're on certain versions of the device, but this looks like a slow roll-out. Samsung has dropped the official beta program announcement. It all starts November 2nd in the US, UK, and Korea.

The Android 8.0 beta is running "Samsung Experience 9.0," but the UI will look pretty much the same. It has a number of new features courtesy of the updated Android. There are launcher shortcuts, colored media notifications, and more.

As we report yesterday that Samsung is updating its App in preparation for the major Update. It is certainly a sign that the Android 8.0 Oreo for Galaxy S8 and S8+ could launch soon.
