Samsung Connect gets support for Android 8.0 Oreo

We can sense that the Android 8.0 Oreo for the Samsung Galaxy S8 is just around the corner as the company updates its apps to support for Android 8.0. Samsung has now updated its Samsung Connect app with support for the next major firmware update.

This app enables users to control smart devices and appliances from their phone even when they’re not at home. They can accomplish tasks like scheduling the washing machine’s cycle, turning up the music, turning on the lights and turning on the Aircondition from their phone.

Samsung has released the update for the Samsung Connect app and now live in the Google Play Store.It brings support for Android 8.0 Oreo as you can see from the changelog. A new Dashboard has also been implemented with this update.

Samsung has also made several improvements and additions to the Condition and action features for the Automation functionality. Users can now add their favorite Scene and devices to the Dashboard and use them.

The company also rolled out a new update for its Smart Switch app this week. And that update brought support for Android 8.0 Oreo as well. Recent reports suggest that the Galaxy S8 Android 8.0 Oreo beta is likely to be launched soon for some country and we can expect the final version of Android 8.0 to be released early next year.
